Skin Remodeling Copper-Peptides are powerful anti-inflammatories that help trigger the skin's natural mechanism of renewal and the 'pushing' up to the fore layer healthy 'remodeled' skin. Only certain types of copper-peptide complexes have this range of tissue regenerative and remodeling actions. The only types of copper-peptide complexes that have these actions, as demonstrated by independent and published studies, are those invented by Dr. Loren Pickart. Skin Biology has tested over 200 promising copper-peptide complexes before finding the exceptional regenerative actions of this certain fraction of soy protein peptides These SRCPs have been used clinically for wound healing, increasing skin healing after laser resurfacing and chemical peels, and for improving the success of hair transplants. SRCPs also help stimulate the skin's regenerative processes that repair the skin's protective outer barrier, increase new capillary formation (angiogenesis), increase the production of collagen and elastin which improves the skin elasticity and firmness, and increases the water-holding proteins (proteoglycans & glycosaminoglycans - GAGs) that hold moisture in the skin and are the only "true" moisturization of skin. True Skin Remodeling requires the removal of old, damaged skin proteins (such as what is accomplished by using hydroxy acids) along with the effects of SRCPs.
Since Skin Biology's products are more biological in nature than chemical (more like "food"), we would recommend the following: Although we have clients who live around the world, with temperatures varying from the tropics to some of the coldest areas in their respective countries, we recommend that if you live in a very warm and humid area your products may keep better when stored in the refrigerator. Skin Remodeling Copper-Peptides stored up to 5 years old have been tested and proven to still be effective. Most often, regular storage in room temperature should be just fine for all our products.
Skin Biology's Exfol Serum and Cream are exfoliators that contain 2% Salicylic Acid. An exfoliator helps remove damage skin proteins and dead skin cells, which is helpful in achieving the desired results of "remodeled" skin. As the skin ages the turnover of dead skin cells slows down and tends to clump together especially of the upper-layer, epidermal section of the skin. This can leave the skin feeling rough and looking dull. For smoother skin an exfoliator should be used to remove dead skin cells, rejuvenating the natural skin process of new cells being brought to the epidermal layer. Exfol Serum or Exfol Cream should be started slowly on the face, body, or scar area. A good method, if other products are applied, is to first apply the Exfol Serum or Cream in the morning and the SRCPs in the evening (although this is not a 'hard-and-fast rule'). There is no set rule of application but one may allow sufficient interval time between applications so that the product can effectively penetrate the skin. For best penetration of the formula ingredients, we would recommend that you wash first and then apply the Exfol Serum or Cream. Some have found that when using a SRCP Serum product the Exfol Serum works well and when using a SRCP Cream product that the Exfol Cream works well.
No. Skin Remodeling Copper-Peptides, although blue or greenish-blue in color, have been shown to be very effective in enhancing the natural skin rejuvenation process. Although some of our clients have reported a slight tint to the skin at the outset of using the products, this does not last and will not harshly affect the skin. What we have discovered is that it would seem that any "tint" left on the skin is most likely from not thoroughly rinsing off the product. Copper-Peptides may attach to fats in the pores and if you notice a slight tint from the products you can wash off the color effect with warm water. But make sure to leave the product on and only wash off after they've had time to work. If it continues to be a concern, try applying the SRCPs in the evening. It is of note that the only form of copper that the FDA allows for in clinical use is the blue form of copper. All the numerous studies from around the globe finding positive effects on skin repair and tissue regeneration have come from the blue form of copper, not 'color-less' copper.
Start slowly when introducing any new product to your skin and remember the adage: "Less is More". Layering many products on the skin does not increase the possibility of the products working faster or more effectively. Especially with strong Skin Remodeling Copper-Peptides, we recommend that you start off slowly and avoid overuse. Signs of overuse may be: irritation, inflammation, droopiness, looseness, dryness, or any other unwanted effect. Try decreasing usage and/or diluting the product. A suggestion with starting CP Serum is to apply no more than 2-3 drops to the entire face for two-three weeks and carefully monitor your skin's reaction. Again, any time a new product in being introduced to the skin a small area should be tested first. Avoid overuse by starting off slowly. These are very concentrate and potent products and only a little is needed.
Dr. Pickart has spent the last forty years researching ways to reverse the effects of skin aging. As a reputable biochemist at the forefront of Skin Remodeling Copper-Peptides, he has gladly been able to launch Skin Biology, a biotechnology research company committed to developing and patenting new products for skin and hair renewal. However, Dr. Pickart generally declines to give personal opinion on other skincare products, procedures, or other skin renewal methods. He recommends if one has a question as to the veracity of the proposed effects, to contact the company and ask for independent published studies supporting the claims of the product(s) and search for detailed information beforehand when considering whether or not to have a certain procedure performed.
This depends on each person's individual skin. Since everyone's skin is unique the reactions and result time may be different. Typically our clients report seeing visible results within 4-6 weeks (At times some have reported results becoming visible sooner, at times longer). Patiently waiting to see the results while being consistent with product use seems to yield the best outcome.
Super CP Serum and Super Cop Cream are Dr. Pickart's latest skin care inventions. These strong skin remodeling systems contain our most potent formula to date. They have undergone extensive testing for safety and are yielding amazing results for many. These products can be used for scar reduction, skin lesions, skin tags, acne scars, wrinkles, and to promote overall smoothness, healthy skin tone, and better skin repair. Be cautious when using the products on the face and at first apply the products lightly to the skin (perhaps only 2 drops of the Serum for the entire face once day). The application amount may be increased with time, if so desired. Super Cop should only be applied very lightly and if 'burning' or 'itching' result, try preparing the skin first with an application of Emu Oil-S or Squalane. Both products are water based and can be diluted with water (or Super Cop can be applied to the face while damp). For the first 3-4 weeks use cautiously until the skin becomes accustomed to this strong Skin Remodeling Copper-Peptide complex.
Skin Biology does recommend that one start very slowly with Skin Remodeling Copper-Peptides and first test a small area of the skin to see how their particular skin reacts to the formula. If you decide to start off slowly by diluting the products, this will be fine as well. Most products are water based and will not lose effectiveness when diluted with water. A good rule of thumb for dilution is 1-2 drops of the product to every 5-8 drops of water. If you are using a Cream product you can apply a thin amount to the face after cleansing and while the skin is still damp. This will serve as a good dilution method as well.
Skin Biology has a very extensive site that highlights the products' background in biochemistry and the science behind this amazing invention. Our sites are regularly being revised and at times this can make it a little difficult to find where to order after reading about the Skin Remodeling Copper-Peptide Products. We try to place order links in as many places as possible and relevant in the site. For quick access to order online go to: store.skinbiology.com
If for some reason your skin cannot withstand salicylic acid, here is a list of our products which do not contain this beta hydroxy acid: Regular CP Serum / CP Night Eyes / Protect and Restore Skin Renewal Creams and Body Lotions / TriReduction Protect and Restore Versions / BioHeal / Squalane Oil / Emu Oil-S Lipid Replenisher / Calypso's Oils / Gentle Clean Cleansers / and all Folligen Solution Therapy products
This particular area of the skin, because of its tendency to become easily irritated, should be cared for very cautiously. It where the thinnest skin in the body lies and years of color cosmetics and makeup removers can produce extensive skin damage and sagging. Any and all products introduced to this area of the skin should be applied in a small amount and tested to make sure your individual skin can handle the product being applied.
Skin Remodeling Copper-Peptides, originally designed for skin remodeling with the background of wound healing, have been shown to be effective for reducing the appearance of acne scars. However, these products do not serve as a treatment for acne. A dermatologist should be consulted if you have questions regarding how to cope with cystic acne or other severe acne problems.
For many of our clientele have commented that the products have helped in producing smoother skin and an overall reduction in the appearance of pores. CP Serum and Exfol Serum may be used to possibly produce this effect. But what may work for one person, may not necessarily work for all. Copper-Peptides may attach to fats in the pores and if you notice a slight tint from the products you can wash off the color effect with warm water. But make sure to leave the product on and only wash off after they've had time to work. The first stage of scar reduction and skin remodeling may leave the pores temporarily looking enlarged. This should pass.
Dry skin is caused by damage to the skin's protective barrier which results in excessive water loss through the skin, leaving it feeling dry and rough. And also is caused by a reduction in the skin's water holding proteins (the proteoglycans and glycosaminoglycans (GAGs). Whereas cosmetic moisturizers loosen the skin's protective barrier and wet the skin proteins, they do not have a lasting effect and could be damaging because these could delay the healing of irritated and damaged skin and inhibit natural skin repair.
Emu Oil-S Lipid Replenisher for the Skin
What Does Skin Biology's Emu Oil-S Lipid Replenisher Contain? What Makes it Different From Other Emu Oils? Emu Oil-S Lipid Replenisher contains peroxide-free Emu Oil supplemented with Ubiquinone, leutin, lycopene, and mixed isomers of natural tocotrienols and Vitamin E.
If I Use More than One Product: What is the Best Sequence of Product Use to Gain the Best Results? Unlike many cosmetic companies that prescribe layers of products, Skin Biology products do not have any “hard and fast” rules or a special regimen that must be exactly followed to yield results. We do make certain recommendations, but if you find something that works better for you and are seeing good results, stay with that routine.

What About Using the Products Along with Peels, Laser Procedures, and/or Other Products? If you have any questions regarding the use of Skin Biology products in combination with a procedure you are currently undergoing, we recommend that you speak with your dermatologist first. The ingredients in our products are non-irritants, non-allergens, and non-comedogenic and have also undergone extensive independent safety testing. Due to the exceptional stability of Copper-Peptides, they can be used with hydroxy acids for skin renewal. Many of our clients opt to use the products in conjunction with Alpha Hydroxy Peels and/or other procedures to aid in rejuvenating the skin to heal naturally and more quickly. Copper-Peptides have been used clinically in wound healing, for increasing skin healing after laser resurfacing and chemical peels, and for improving the success of hair transplantation. For post procedure skincare, we would also suggest taking daily supplements of 1gram Vitamin C, 1gram MSM, 100mgs of Alpha Lipoic Acid, and 4grams of Salmon Oil (or Flaxseed Oil). CP Serum and Emu Oil-S Lipid Replenisher may be used or Protect & Restore (with High Retinol). Click Here for Our Post Procedure Suggestions Many have seen dramatic results from adding Skin Biology Skin Remodeling Copper-Peptides to their regimen. However, Skin Biology does not advocate nor suggest any particular additional procedure over another. We always strongly recommend that one consults their dermatologist and/or physician if they have further questions.
What is the Order of Strength of the Products? Which are the Mildest? Which are the Strongest? Most all Skin Biology products have as the main active ingredient Skin Remodeling Copper-Peptides (SRCPs) and thus all have strong skin remodeling action. But if we had to categorize product strength, here is what the list might look like from mildest to strongest: Mildest Copper-Peptide for Sensitive Skin or for Eye Area: GHK-Copper
- CP Night Eyes: Premier Version for Sensitive and Reactive Skin (Please keep in mind above list is not an absolute rule of strengths)
What about the use of benzoyl peroxide products and Skin Remodeling Copper-Peptides? If you currently are using a benzoyl peroxide product and would like to try Skin Remodeling Copper-Peptides (SRCPs) in your skin care regimen, please carefully review the following: The effectiveness of either product will not be lessened if both are used. However, Skin Biology recommends that the SRCPs perhaps be applied later at night (or at opposite ends of the day). Some have seen good results alternating the products: One day their benzoyl peroxide product and the next day the SRCP product regimen with Exfol Serum used in the morning and CP Serum (or Super CP Serum) in the evening.
Folligen Solution Therapy Spray is overloaded with healthful material. Despite two filtrations during manufacture, material may precipitate out with time, meaning you may at times notice "floating material" in Folligen. This is not an indication that the product has "gone bad". We could easily make products that are clear liquids and that are stable by adding a few quasi-detergents and using less material. But this would compromise the integrity of the Skin Remodeling Copper-Peptides. Skin Biology products are more like natural food products, like good wine that has debris in the bottom of the bottom, or like the real traditional home-made jellies and jams with actual berries in the sauce.
Many have inquired on how to deal with dry, chapped lips. Skin Biology's SRCP Creams can work very well in this area. Some female long distance runners, whose lips get very dry, have used TriReduction Protect & Restore with Retinol for their lips. Some models have been trying this as well. It is safe to use these products on the lip area. Although our creams may not have the same 'taste' or smell as other lip glosses they have many beneficial properties for aiding in skin repair.
Can just Pure Titanium Dioxide (a UV reflector) be used with Skin Biology Products? Yes. For information on our Protect & Restore Cream: Day Cover (with Pure Titanium Dioxide) - The benefit of this product is that it also has the Skin Remodeling Copper-Peptide complex which other forms of pure titanium dioxide do not have. (Or if you are aware of other Pure Titanium Dioxide product - Contact Us Here) For information on how to keep your skin healthy despite sun exposure - Click Here
Frequently we are asked about other so-called "natural products" (products based on ingredients found in nature, but not naturally found in human skin). Skin Biology believes it is best to use products that simulate the skin's natural skin oils and processes and which are found in human skin. Plant products often have toxins and poisons to keep from being eaten by insects and mammals and differ from what is found naturally in human skin. For biological oils for body use: Try Calypso's Oil Basic (which is 99% squalane and octyl palmitate - both of which naturally occur in human skin). It spreads easily and is healthier for our skin. - Click Here for More Information
What does Skin Biology suggest for those considering Chemical Hair Relaxers? Skin Biology is dedicated to providing science based products that aid in skin remodeling and scalp conditioning. But since our main focus is scalp and skin health, we would strongly recommend that one consult a skilled hair care professional with a history of successfully working with chemical hair relaxers to see if that is an option for them personally and to recommend specific brands, treatments, and styles. A skilled hair care professional will be able to actually take a look at your hair (and scalp) and suggest a product for you. For this procedure we recommend consulting with a professional rather than trying to perform it yourself. If you do decide to have a chemical relaxer applied we suggest, for keeping chemically treated hair in the best condition as possible, the following: No Heat (try to air dry hair at all times if possible - Or at least use Less Heat). Also be careful of harsh Shampoos and Conditioners (when used more than needed these can actually damage hair). As far as internal supplements, MSM and Flaxseed Oil have been found to be beneficial to healthy hair follicles which is the root of healthy hair. Folligen Solution Therapy can help improve hair health, reduce hair loss, promote hair growth, and improve scalp health. This product is based on the Skin Remodeling Copper-Peptides (SRCPs) invented by biochemist Dr. Loren Pickart. The hair can be parted and Folligen Lotion or Folligen Cream can then be applied directly to the scalp. Emu Oil-S for Hair can also be applied afterward and works as a penetrating agent to help the SRCPs further penetrate and increase effectiveness. You can read more about the science behind the formula and how to order a sample to try by visiting: www.FOLLIGEN.com But again since we are not hair care professionals, Skin Biology is not able to give any recommendations on specific brands of relaxers or treatments to use and does not recommend the use of one specific treatment over the other. Some have wondered why their skin may seem to "tear" when having waxing performed on facial skin. At times this can happen around the upper lip or brow area for women. Since the skin can tear, it may be best to avoid hydroxy acids or Retin-A a week or so before waxing treatments.
